Gamification

I decided to apply game-design elements and game principles to improve user engagement.
I first considered allowing the community to set themselves real rewards when they reached a group goal (rewards that promoted community bonds such as have drinks together or going out for a dinner). User testing showed me that the idea was complex to implement and most of the users wouldn't like to be forced to do a group activity.
Instead, I decided to give badges to users for their achievements and allow them to evaluate their flatmates in a fancy and a non aggressive way.
